Membership Benefits

We are committed to protecting your privacy. No last names only an initial are used when pictures are put on the website. Also no personal information is given out to other members without your permission. This means addresses, telephone numbers, and the like. When you join you are asked to fill out a photo release form to publish your picture on the net. You are free to decline and every precaution will be taken so that your picture does not appear on the net. Only your name is published in our newsletter.

Coffee & Tea are provided at every meeting. Snacks are brought in by two members each month. We have a draw to pick those two members the month before.

You receive free patterns each month at the meeting!! Other free patterns from members, magazines, the internet and other sources are made available to you also when available! eg. hats, mitts, baby sets, and more!!!

We provide yarn to members for their projects at every meeting. We have a draw at each meeting so that a member who wins the draw gets first pick at the yarn before everyone else. After that member has picked her yarn then everyone can go and take some for themselves!

A monthly newsletter which includes 'Member Biography', 'Tips & Tricks', 'Volunteer News', 'Recipes', 'Smiles & Giggles', and much more. Also your Birthday and Angel Hugs Start date are announced in the newsletter. Get Well and Sympathy cards will be sent to each member as needed.!!

We have a Volunteer Appreciation Day in April. We have a luncheon that is provided for the members to show our appreciation for all your hard work that you do for us. Throughout the year you receive points for your donations toward a certificate. At 50 points you receive your Angel Hugs pin. These certificates are given out on Appreciation Day. Other members who haven't earned enough points for a points certificate will recieve an appreciation certificate. Everyone goes home with a certificate!!! We also have awards for bronze, silver, and voluteer of the year which are given out also.

Angel Hugs started in November 1998. Therefore we celebrate our anniversary every year!

For a donation of $5 per mug we have an Angel Hugs mug that you can bring and use at each meeting. Of course you can also use it at home!

Also for a donation of $5 per membership book we have a book that has information about Angel Hugs and has loads of usable patterns. You can get it for Knit or Crochet or both. It's up to you!

You will have plenty of help at the meetings if you have a question about a pattern or a stitch.

Best of all, you meet other people just like yourself that want to make a difference in a person’s life. What a wonderful way to make new friends!
