Dear Debbie B,
The Affinity Young Moms program, an initiative of The Dam Youth Drop-in, would like to take this opportunity to express our sincere gratitude to you. We would like to say a huge thank you for your contributions towards our Christmas party. The children and moms were overjoyed with their gifts. This year was our largest party ever with 70 people in attendance that included moms, children, dads and volunteers. They enjoyed a turkey dinner and a visit from Santa. It is through groups like yours that the moms learn how the community supports them and shows them that they are cared for.
Many of these teen moms face rejection and judgement when they become pregnant at a young age. One of our goals is to come along side of them and support them as they go through this period of transition. Through your generosity we have been able to concentrate on the Moms needs and on our programs, without the worry of where the gifts for Christmas would come from. If you could have only seen their faces when Santa gave them their gifts, many moms had tears in their eyes, as did Kei and I, we are all so grateful.
Once again thank you for helping us to make this Christmas season extra special for the moms and children of Affinity.

Sincerely,
Kei D & Sue W

Dear Shelley & the Angel Hugs group,
Thank you so much for your donation of knitted baby items. I have distributed them into the NICU, our level 2 nursery and the full term nursery as well. Timing was perfect when we received them, on that day a blanket and sweater set made the perfect gift. I took a small but healthy 4 pound baby to see her mother who was very ill in the ICU. She was moved to tears to see her baby and to think that we would dress the baby in such a beautiful outfit. We gave the mother the outfit as a rememberance of that special moment. Thank you for helping to create it. The burial gowns were lovely (the small white one will be used in the NICU setting) and when used will become part of the parents' baby memory box that they will treasure forever.
I have already seen your hats & blankets on a number of babies in the unit. On behalf of the babies & families & NICU staff, thanks again to your group for their special donation.
